James Tucker

James Garland Tucker, age 81, of Logan, Ohio, passed away October 20, 2020 at Pickering House, Lancaster, Ohio.

Jim was born June 15, 1939 in Lucedale, Miss. to Clifton and Mary Etta Tucker. He was a US Army, Vietnam Veteran; member of the AmVets; and a retired truck driver.               

Surviving are his wife, Frances Tucker of Logan, Ohio; children, Anita (Scott) Horner of Brandon, MS, and Ron Tucker; step-daughter Annette Donaldson of Circleville; grandchildren, Nyka Barnes, Caitlin Barnes, Amber Mahan, James Mahan, and Emily Harvey; great-grandchildren, Brennan, Ayden, Bryleigh, Harper, Sean, and Remington; brother, David (Mercedes) Tucker of Payson, UT; sisters, Julia (Jerry) Love of Perkinston, MS, Joyce Stevens of Lucedale, MS, Sue Tucker of Moss Point, MS, Brenda (Owen) Lee of Lucedale, MS, and Etta (Greg) Loris of Moss Point, MS; a host of nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Betty May of Baltimore, Ohio; and brother-in-law, Ed Green of Logan, Ohio.

Jim was preceded in death by parents; brother, Ralph Tucker; mother-in-law, Mae Green; and brothers-in-law, Lloyd Green and Fred May.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, October 25, 2020 at the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, Logan, Ohio with Rev. Dr. Randy Hardman officiating. Burial was in Knollwood Cemetery, Logan, Ohio, where Military Graveside services were conducted by the Hocking County Honor Guard.

Calling hours were observed  2-4 and 6-8 P.M. on Saturday, October 24, 2020, at the funeral home.

The wearing of mask and social distancing are required.
