Charles H. Johnson

Charles H. Johnson, 94, of Logan, Ohio passed away peacefully, surrounded by his wife and daughters, on March 30, 2018 at the Pickering House, Lancaster, Ohio. Charles was born July 4, 1923, in Nelsonville, Ohio to Hubert and Vivian Johnson. He was a 1942 graduate of Logan High School; former owner/operator of Johnson Shoe store in Logan; and attended Faith Tabernacle in Nelsonville. Surviving are his wife of over 43 years, Betty Johnson of Logan; daughters, Melody (John) Siefert of Lancaster, and Jessica (Bruce) Underwood of Logan; an adopted daughter, Sherie (Bob) Bomar of Lancaster; seven grandchildren; Twelve great-grandchildren; brother, Robert Johnson of Russellville, Alabama; and four nephews, who were very close to his heart, Wayne “Johnny” {The Favorite} Johnson, Earl Dee {The Black Sheep} Johnson, Frankie {You can not make this stuff up} Johnson, and Jim {The Historian} Anderson. Charles was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, Frank (Stutz) Donaldson; and sister, Annamae (Ron) Wagoner. Funeral services were held at 1:00 pm Thursday, April 5, 2018, at Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, Logan, Ohio with the Pastor King Kelly officiating. Burial was in the Fairview Cemetery, Rockbridge, Ohio. Calling hours were observed April 4, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
