Clarissa Gayle Stufflebean Scaggs, age 55, of Athens, Ohio, passed away June 7, 2022, at Fairfield Medical Center, Lancaster, Ohio.
Clarissa was born December 7, 1966, in Nelsonville, Ohio. She was a great wife, loving mother, and a great grandmother.
Surviving are her husband of 22 years, Jerry Scaggs; daughter, Trisha (Justin) Coey of Athens; sons, Nathan Decker of Athens and Kevin Decker of Buchtel; 8 grandchildren; sisters, Sherl Conley, Jackie Conley (James), and Sandra Collins; brother, Bruce Conley; and special friend, Tabby Smart.
Clarissa was preceded in death by her mother, Billie Clemons; brothers, Ashley Stufflebean, and Stephen Conley; and sister, Judy Call.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 P.M., Monday June 13, 2022, at the Warren-Brown Funeral Home, Nelsonville, Ohio. Burial was in Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville, Ohio.
Calling hours were observed on Monday 11 am – 1 pm at the funeral home.
The family suggests donations, in memory of Clarissa, to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
