Debra Lee Malone

Debra Lee Malone, age 65, of Logan, Ohio, passed away May 10, 2022, at The Pickering House, Lancaster, Ohio.

Debra was born October 2, 1956, in Tuscarawas County, Ohio to Donald Malone and Lydia McCoy Malone.

She enjoyed tending to her flower bed, yard sales, family gatherings, and she never met a stranger. She was kind, loving, supportive, and would do whatever she could to help someone in need. She took great pride in her children, grandchildren, and was thrilled to be a great grandmother. She was a huge fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes and never missed a game! She was given three years as her cancer was terminal, but with her faith in God, lots of prayers from family and friends, and her brave soul, she showed cancer that she would go on her terms, not the other way around. With her strong will and determination, she fought for five years with a beautiful smile on her face, and she left us with many years of fond memories and love strong enough to last us, thankfully, for the rest of our lives. Today our family and friends have suffered a great loss and Heaven has gained an Angel.

Surviving are her children, son Edward Rittgers of McArthur and daughters Robin Tufts of Logan, and Terra Tufts of Logan; 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; brothers, Donald (Janine) Malone Jr. of Lancaster, Gary (Brenda) Malone of Logan, and Larry (Jessie)Malone of Lancaster; sisters, Carolyn (Russell) Smith of Lancaster, Donna Tufts of Lancaster, and Shirley Paskins of White City, Kansas; and many nieces and nephews.

Debra was preceded in death by her parents and sister Marilyn Disbennett.

Funeral services were held at 1:00 P.M., Friday, May 13, 2022, at the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, Logan, Ohio, with Rev. Dr. Randy Hardman officiating. Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery, Logan, Ohio.

Calling hours were observed 11 am – 1 pm Friday at the funeral home.
