Gary Lee Bartlett Sr. 82, of Chauncey, Ohio passed away May 5, 2017 at O’Bleness Hospital Athens, Ohio. Gary was born September 25, 1934 in Chauncey, Ohio to Pyam U. and Naomi G. Bartlett. He was a graduate of Buchtel High Scool; was a U.S. Army Veteran; and worked for 32 years at Texas Eastern Gas Pipeline. Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Sonja Bartlett of Chauncey; sons, Gary L. Jr. (Marlene) Bartlett of Nelsonville and Gregory A. (Yvonne) Bartlett of Chauncey; and grandchild Joshua (Jennifer) Bartlett of Logan. Gary was preceded in death by his parents; and brother Marlon J. Bartlett. Funeral services were held 1:00 pm Monday, May 8, 2017 at the Warren-Brown Funeral Home Nelsonville, Ohio with Rev. Tim Kelly officiating. Burial was in Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville, Ohio, where Military Graveside services were conducted by the Combined Color Guard. Calling hours were observed Monday, May 8, 2017 from 12:00 noon to time of service.
