Ivan Xavier Martin-Johnson, age 24, of Logan, Ohio, passed away May 30, 2021 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, Ohio due to complications of injury from an altercation in Athens, Ohio.
Ivan was born January 1, 1997 in Logan, Ohio. He worked as a trade truckdriver. Ivan enjoyed a good time with his friends. He loved to meet his friends whether it was at the bar to drink beer and play pool or around a campfire having a cookout. Ivan was outgoing in his spare time. You could find him hiking at the caves, kayaking, or even out for a relaxing motorcycle ride. He also enjoyed games, his favorite was Connect Four, Beer Pong, and playing PlayStation.
Surviving are his mother Tenylle Martin; step-fathers, Lorin Jones and Verman “Dezi” Banhan; father Roland Johnson; half brother, Kyheem Polley; grandmother Diane Martin; aunt Toni Martin; cousins, Sierra Martin, Makiyah Martin, Tyrell Martin, and Ava Martin; nephew Owen; his cat Gizmo and his dog Tyson; friends, Paublo Thompson, Jacob Hollis, Kurt Gillespie, Chris Townsend, Jalynn Layton, Kourtney Gillespie, the McGiffin Family and many more friends.
Ivan was preceded in death by his grandfather Ricci Martin; great-aunts, Debbie Rice and Jeri Lynn Dobos; and many more extended family.
Funeral services were held at 6:00 pm, Sunday, June 13, 2021 at the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, Logan, Ohio.
Calling hours were observed on Saturday, June 12, 2021 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home, and on Sunday, June 13, 2021 from 2:00 pm to the time of service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that donations be made to the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
