Jacob Alexander Barnhart, age 17, of Athens, Ohio, passed away August 25th, 2019 at O’Bleness Memorial Hospital.
Jacob was born April 13, 2002 in Athens, Ohio to Russell Barnhart Jr. and Heidi Spears. He attended Beacon School in Athens, involved in the special olympics, and worked for Personel Plus Job Opportunities .
Surviving are his sisters, Heather Barnhart of Athens, Alexandria Baldwin of Galion, and Nikki Murata of Athens; mother Heidi Spears of Athens; father Russell Barnhart Jr. of Athens; grandfather Russell (Sheila) Barnhart Sr. of Glouster; five nieces and nephews; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Jacob was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Betty and Sam Spears; paternal grandparent Ruth Ann Barnhart; and cousin Brianna Miller.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 P.M., Friday, August 30, 2019 at the Brown Funeral Home, Murray City, Ohio. Burial will be in Beech Grove, Perry Co., Ohio.
Calling hours were observed 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. on Thursday, August 29, 2019.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
