Allen Mohney, age 62, of Nelsonville, Ohio, passed away May 16, 2020 at OSU Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio with Candace and Kathy by his side.
Allen was born August 13, 1957 in Athens Co. to Mary and Todd. He loved caring for his yard and going cruising through town with his seat belt sticking out when he was able to.
Surviving are his long time companion Candace Parker; children, Kathy (Scott) Warren, Katie (Ryan) McGurie, Kody Mohney, Allen (Katherine) Howard, Melinda Lee, and Carissa Freer; grandchildren, Samiah Warren, Cammie McGuire, Aaliyah, Amar’e, and Auna Lee, Troy and Sadie Howard, Cole Snyder, Jessie Freer, and Jazmine Martin; several neices and nephews; siblings, Shelia Saviage, Alice (Frank) Standall, Lynn (Mark) Brandt, and Les Mohney; good friends, Trent Newman, Gary Hamilton, Gary Hunley, and Walt Crihfield; and dog Sally Jane.
Allen was preceded in death by parents; and siblings, Eric, Jeff, and Donnie Mohney.
Graveside services were held at 1 P.M., on Friday May 22, 2020 at Whitmore Cemetery with Pastor Ronald Chunn officiating.
Calling hours were observed from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. at the cemetery, before the graveside service.
