Jimmie
“Jim” Young, 63, of Nelsonville, Ohio. God called and Jim answered
early Sunday, January 11, 2015, at 8:30 am at Riverside Methodist
Hospital following an extended illness.
Born March 19, 1951 in Columbus, son of the late Thomas and Garnette
(Preece) Young.
Jim graduated from Federal-Hocking High School; retired after 23 years
at Dana’s Tire Center and from Greenlawn Cemetery, York Township.
He is survived by two sisters, Ivalea Young of Guysville and Judy
Fetherolf of Logan; brothers, Paul Young of Millfield and Donald
(Sharon) Young of Guysville; many wonderful nieces, nephews, and
cousins; aunt Alma McCoy of Inez, KY; and very special friends, Jo Bob
and Tina Windle.
Including Jim’s parents, he joins his two sisters, Kathy Anderson (2014)
and Phyllis Young; and four brothers, William, Harold, Edgar, and Gary
(2014) Young. What a great reunion!
Calling hours were held Thursday, January 15, 2015 from 5-8 pm at
Warren-Brown Funeral Home, Nelsonville, Ohio.
Funeral services were held Friday, January 16, 2015 at 11:00 am at the
funeral home with Rev. Ernie Perkins officiating. Burial was in the
Asbury Cemetery, Guysville, Ohio.
