Kirk
and Sandra Goss of Newark, formerly of Logan, passed away on December
15, 2018 at their home. They were married for 60 years. Kirk went to
heaven in the morning. Sandra followed in the evening.
Kirk was born in Logan, Ohio on January 15, 1935 to Reese T. and Dollie
B. Goss. He was a 1953 graduate of Logan High School; retired after 36
years from G.E. in Logan; and enjoyed making clocks and bragging about
the Hocking Hills.
Sandra was born May 29, 1941 in Hocking County to Lester R. and Goldie
Lytle. She loved her grandkids; and enjoyed going to yard sales and
thrift stores.
They are survived by their son, Brian (Joye) Goss of Connelly Springs,
NC; daughter, Karen (Mark) Griffith of Lancaster; and grandchildren,
Reba, Natalie, Willie, and Levi Griffith all of Lancaster.
Kirk is survived by his brothers, Neil (Betty) Goss of Logan, Don
(Pattie) Goss of Dayton, and Vern (Andrea) Goss of Logan; and several
nieces and nephews.
Sandra is survived by her sisters, Deena Rollins of Rockbridge, and Jane
(Larry) Auker of Logan; and several nieces and nephews.
They were preceded in death by their parents; son, Timothy L. Goss; and
Sandra’s siblings, Helen Lytle, Ruth Unger, Paul Lytle, Don Lytle, and
Phyl Fletcher.
Their funeral services were held Tuesday, December 18, 2018, at 1:00 pm
at the Antioch Alliance Church with Rev. Vern Goss and Todd Goss
officiating. Burial was in Knollwood Cemetery at a later date.
Calling hours were from 11 am to 1 pm Tuesday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Kirk and
Sandra’s name to HOWI C/O 305 W. Union St. #3 Morganton, NC 28655.
