Larry E. Leffler

Larry E. Leffler, age 84, of Logan, Ohio passed from his earthly home on July 23, 2022, surrounded by family.

Larry was born February 13, 1938, at home in Haydenville, Ohio, the son of the late George and Flossie (Hewitt) Leffler.

Larry was a wonderful father to Loreen (Stephen) DeLong, Gina Leffler and Bradley (Jeanne) Leffler, all of whom survive him. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Melissa (Glen) Burchfield, Grace DeLong, Heather (Paul) Zimmerman, Jennifer (Patrick) Horner, Zachariah (Diana) Leffler, Meagan (John) Erber, David (Hannah) Leffler, Seth Leffler, and Tiffany Leffler; 11 great-grandchildren; brother Roy; and sisters, Sonja Kibler and Mary Jo Reeves.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Marilyn K. (Harmon) Leffler; brothers, Richard, Allen and Lawrence Leffler; and sisters, Shirley Lowe, Lavina Lehman, and Patty Matheny.

Larry attended Capstone Life Tabernacle. He had a great love for his family, gardening, fishing, traveling to Lake Erie with his family, and passing out quarters and his home-made cookies to the children. He served in the National Guard and enjoyed building log homes. And as he would always say, after disagreeing with one of us… “I’d say something, but I won’t!”

Funeral services were held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, 204 West Main Street, Logan, Ohio with Pastor Stephen DeLong officiating. Burial was at Knollwood Cemetery in Logan, Ohio. Military Graveside services were held by The Hocking County Honor Guard.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, from 3:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home.

Thank you to all of the staff at the Pickering House in Lancaster, Ohio for your loving care.
