Madge E. Dillon

Madge E. Dillon, 92, of Logan, Ohio passed away April 23, 2018 at The Pickering House, Lancaster, Ohio. Madge was born April 20, 1926 in Cheshire, Ohio to Charles M. and Mildred M. Stimel. She was a graduate of Logan High School; and formerly worked at Columbus Buckeye Saving And Loan, and the Hocking County Auditor’s offfice. Surviving are son, Scott (Deidre Slusher) Dillon of Logan; grandchildren, Christa L. (Kevin) Schworm of Newark, Lucas H. (Michele) Dillon of Kansas, MO, Logan R. Dillon of Marysville, and Elizabeth Ann (Gary) Connors; step-grandson, Joseph Fitzpatrick of Columbus; great-grandchildren, Julia Schworm, Jenna Schworm, Hayden Dillon, and Grayson Dillon; brother, Edward Stimel of Logan; daughter-in-law, Becca Dillon of Middleburg, Ohio; nieces and nephews, Linda (Shanley) Brown, Debra (Kevin) Henwood, Diane (Dwayne) Hoffman, Melissa Stimel, Jessica Wojick, Stacy Wray, Judson Brown, Robert Brown, Sarah Brown, Jared Hoffman and Adam Hoffman; and a sister-in-law, Fern Dillon of Lancaster. Madge was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 57 years, Leo Dillon, who passed away in 2001; son, Christopher Dillon, who passed away July 27, 2011; brother, Charles C. Stimel; sisters, Clarabelle Six and Eloise Moorehead; nephew Curtis Souders; and brother-in-law, Neal Dillon. Funeral services were held at 2:00 pm April 27, 2018 at the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, Logan, Ohio with Pastor Scott Smith officiating. Burial was in Ebenezer Baptist Cemetery, Maxville, Ohio. Calling hours were observed Friday, April 27, 2018 from 1:00 pm to time of service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to FairHoPe Hospice 282 Sells Rd. Lancaster, Ohio 43130.
