Paul Cyrus Jr

Paul Edwin Cyrus Jr., 74, of Logan, Ohio passed away July 18, 2018 at Licking County Memorial Hospital, Newark, Ohio. Paul was born November 5, 1943 in Logan, Ohio to Paul and Frieda Cyrus. He was a US Army Veteran; attended the Somerset Methodist Church; attended the Salvation Army Adult Day Care; and formerly worked at Goodyear in Logan and CE Glass in Lancaster. Surviving are his former wife of 22 years, Geraldine Cyrus of Lancaster; children, Paul Cyrus III of Michigan, Rick Cyrus of Michigan, Ryan Cyrus of Michigan, Bryan Cyrus of Chillicothe, Karena (Mike) Spring of Thornville, Craig Cyrus of Newark, and Chad (Melissa) Cyrus of Zanesville; several grandchildren, including Victoria Cyrus, Elizabeth Cyrus, Isabella Cyrus, Bryan Cyrus II, Christopher Murphy, David Snyder Jr., Katlin Snyder, Sandi McClain, Alanna Cyrus, Cara Zink, Eddie Zink, and Chad Cyrus Jr.; sister Penny (Tom) Hines; brothers, Roy and Jim Blankenship; special friends, Brenda Shook, and the faculty at Liberty Home Health. Paul was preceded in death by his father and step-mother, Paul & Virginia Cyrus; mother and step-father, Frieda & Don Thompson; grandson, Alaxandar Hanson Cyrus; and sisters, Sheila Wolfinger and Sherry Rosier. Funeral services were held at 11:00 am, Saturday, July 21, 2018 at the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, Logan, Ohio, with Rev. Dr. Ransy Hardman officiating. Burial was in Knollwood Cemetery, Logan, Ohio, where Military Graveside services were conducted by the Hocking County Honor Guard. Calling hours were observed Friday from 5 to 8 pm at the funeral home.
