Rev. Dennis “Denny” Wilson

Rev. Dennis “Denny” Wilson, age 71, of Logan, Ohio, went to be with Jesus on Sunday, January 10, 2021, at Doctors Hospital, Columbus, Ohio.

Denny was born April 12, 1949 in Logan, Ohio to Andrew Warren Wilson and Esther (Six) Wilson.

He graduated from Logan High School and was drafted into the US Army, serving 18 months in Germany, coming out as a chef. He was hired by the Kroger Stores, as a meat cutter, working mostly between Logan and Lancaster. He retired from Kroger after 34 years. He dedicated his life caring for his wife, that had had several strokes. He became a pastor while still working at Kroger. He would stop and pray for anyone on the spot, whether they were employees or customers. He preached at several local churches, including Bremen Holiness Church, Logan Holiness Church and as assistant pastor, along-side, Rev. Ronald Miller at the Christian Baptist Church on 664 N Logan, Ohio.                        

Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Marsha Louise (Pack) Wilson; son Daniel Andrew (Heather) Wilson of Logan; daughter Misty Dawn Wilson of Canal Winchester; grandchildren, Andrew Warren “Drew” Wilson, Hope Renee Wilson, Makenzie Kocher, and Elijah Kocher; siblings, Glenda (Bob) Nihiser, Norma J. Rooker, Lori (Jack) Clump, Lonnie A. (Vickie) Wilson, of Rockbridge; and his dog Affy.

Denny was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Larry “Tubby” Wilson; sisters, Eva Eaton, Nellie Miller, and Shirley Buttler: and an infant sister, Mary Ellen Wilson.

Denny loved the Lord with all his heart and was dedicated to reading his Bible through every year. We hope the angels know what they’re getting.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 am Saturday, January 16, 2021, at the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, Logan, Ohio Rev. with Ronnie Miller officiating. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery, Rockbridge, Ohio.

Calling hours were observed Friday 6-8 pm at the funeral home.

Masks and social distancing are required to attend. A limited number of people will be allowed in the funeral home at one time.
