Roy R. Sheets, age 59, of Amesville, Ohio, passed away October 12, 2021, at Embassy Healthcare, Logan, Ohio surrounded by his loving family.
Roy was born January 23, 1962, in Athens, Ohio to Dana Sheets and Judy Fetherolf. He enjoyed restoring cars and attended many car shows through the years. Roy was a proud army veteran and proudly volunteered for the Amesville Fire department in his younger days. Before Roy’s health declined, he took pride in his independence, and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and the great outdoors.
Surviving are his mother Judy Fetherolf; and siblings, Dale (Sandy) Sheets and Karen Sheets; half-sisters, Diana Heiss and Carol Montgomery; children, David Sheets, Amanda Sheets, Michael Newman, and Heather Gould; and several grandchildren.
Roy was preceded in death by his father Dana Sheets and sister Brenda Six.
The family has chosen cremation services through the Warren-Brown Funeral Home of Nelsonville, Ohio. There will be a private family memorial service for Roy at a future day and a veteran burial.
