Roy S. Beougher

Roy S. Beougher, age 62, of Rockbridge, Ohio, passed away January 12, 2020.

Roy was born April 6, 1957 in Rockbridge, Ohio to Walter Beougher and Bertha Taylor Beougher. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam Era having served in the Phillipines, when he retured to the United States he was a drill instructor for the U.S. Marines. Roy was an avid drywaller.

 Surviving are  son Joshua (Brittany Kiser) Lax of Logan; grandchildren, Landen, Jaydence, and Legend Lax; step-children, Amanda and Nathan Lax; brothers, Lawrence (Joan) Beougher of Lancaster, Clarence M. Beougher of Rockbridge, Clyde E. Beougher of Logan, Alan L. (Connie) Beougher of South Perry, and Irvin R. Beougher of New Lexington; and sisters, Audrey M. (Rev. Phillip) Baker of Pickerington, Alice M. Hartshorn of Junction City, Arlene M. (Donald) Cook of Lancaster, Bernice L. McDonald of The Plains, Millie (Jim Hartshorn) Toole of Logan, and Lois W. Beougher of Columbus.

Roy was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Howard H. Beougher; sisters, Mabel L. Beougher and Ruth Ann Fetherolf.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, Logan, Ohio with Rev John Williams and Rev. Phillip Baker officiating. Burial was in Morgan Chapel Cemetery, Rockbridge, Ohio.  A Military graveside service was held by the Hocking County Honor Guard.

Calling hours were observed on Monday, January 20, 2020 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
