Nita B. Bailey, age 95, of Rockbridge, Ohio, passed away January 27, 2024, at Main Street Terrace, Lancaster, Ohio.
Nita was born February 29, 1928, in Logan to Sherman M. Vorhees and Minnie Ziegler Vorhees. She was a member of the Mt. Olive United Methodist Church in Gibisonville, Ohio.
She is survived by daughters, Sharon (Bob) Wenger of Topeka, Kansas, Carla Bailey (Patrick Collins) of Chambersburg, PA, Leeann Hacker of Rockbridge, and Barbara Bailey-Winigman of Rockbridge; grandchildren, Carrie (Isha Pawar) Patnode, Joshua (Heather) Hacker, Eli (Chantelle Mundy) Hacker, Cody (Denise) Hacker, Luke (Tisha) Hacker, and Tricia (Chris) Collins Atkinson; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Nita was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carl F. Bailey; son-in-law, Clarence Winigman; and a great-grandchild, Eliana Hacker.
Graveside services were held at 2 pm Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at the Old Gibisonville Brethren Cemetery with Rev. John Williams officiating.
