Kenneth Andrew “Hoppy” Hoppstetter, 37, of New Straitsville, Ohio passed away December 22, 2014 at his residence. Kenneth was born January 8, 1977 in Athens, Ohio to Kenneth and Carol Hoppstetter. He enjoyed fishing, driving his four wheeler and tractors through the woods, and junking. Surviving are his mother and father, Kenneth and Carol Hoppstetter; children, Joshua and Felisha Hoppstetter and Randel Perrin; brothers, Benjamin Hoppstetter and John DeCoursey; sisters, Valerie (Jeremy) Banik, Sabrina (Chris) Bishop, Garnet and Holly DeCoursey, and Amy and Terry Canter; grandmother, Genevieve “Judy” Spears; and nieces and nephews, Sierra, Justin, Jada Banik, Kylie, Kristen, Chase Bishop, Chase and Payton Morris, and Abbi and Jessie Canter. Kenneth was preceded in death by his brother, Brian Keith Hoppstetter; grandfather, Jimmy A.H. Spears; and grandparents, William “Pat” and Betty Misner. Funeral services were held at 1:00 pm Monday, December 29, 2014 at the Brown Funeral Home Murray City, Ohio with Benjamin Lowder officiating. Burial was in Hilltop Cemetery, Millifield, Ohio. Calling hours were observed Sunday, December 28, 2014 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
