In Loving Memory of Dallas R. Marshall, a cherished husband, father, brother, and grandfather. He passed away peacefully, to his Heavenly home, on April 17, 2024. His departure leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew him, but his legacy of love, entrepreneurship, and joy for life will forever be remembered.
Dallas is survived by his devoted wife of nearly 63 years, Mary Marshall, and their loving children: Scott Marshall, Darin (Tina) Marshall, Steve (Pang) Marshall, Jason (Felice) England and Renee Marshall. He was a guiding light in the lives of his grandchildren, John (Heather) Marshall, David Marshall, Brandon Sass, Randy (Allie) Sass and their father Brian Sass. His granddaughter Ashley (Jake) Hood. His great-grandchildren, Ava, Sadie, Kara Hood, and Isaiah Marshall will miss his warmth and wisdom.
He also leaves behind his brother Ray (Nancy) Marshall, half-brother Rodney Marshall, half-sister Diana (Jon) Wilkerson, and sister-in-law Sandy Marshall. His nieces and nephews, particularly Jack (Candy) Meyers, Nick (Rhoda) Sayers. Tony (Gayle) Marshall, Jeff (Norma) Marshall, Matt Marshall, Robin Sayers, Rhonda Shaw and Terry (Eldon) Hongo will all fondly remember his kindness and mentorship. Special mentions to our very close friends of many years, Jim and Carolyn McCoy.
Dallas was preceded in death by his mother Viola Curl, father Ralph Marshall, special stepfather John Curl, brothers Carl Marshall and Floyd Marshall, sister Shelby Meyers. nephews Craig Marshall, Todd Marshall, Eddie Marshall and Rick Hoy.
A self-starter and entrepreneur at heart, Dallas founded several machine shops, including Mar-Metal Mfg., Marshall Tool and Mold, Marshall Tool Company, and Matco Precision. His passion for tool and die making spanned over five decades, a testament to his dedication and love for his craft. Beyond his businesses, Dallas found joy in fishing, restoring old tractors and trucks, and spending time in his workshops. His hands were rarely still, always working on a project or lending a hand where needed.
A celebration of Dallas’ life will be held at a later date at Ebenezer Baptist Church, officiated by Pastor Steve Hubbard. The family invites all who knew Dallas to join in honoring his memory.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to FairHope Hospice Pickering House, an organization close to the families heart.
Dallas’ life was a journey of love, hard work, and commitment to his family and community. He will be deeply missed but never ever forgott
