Kathy Irene Pickering, 73, of New Lexington,
Ohio passed away August 23, 2018 at Genisis Hopital, Zanesville, Ohio.
Kathy was born March 17, 1945 in Columbus, Ohio. She retired from Essex;
volunteered at Perry County Senior Center; and was a member of Harvest Years
Club.
Surviving are former husband and friend Claude Pickering; daughter Linda
(Thomas Wright) Pickering-Cozad and Tina (William) Pickering-Lantz; grandchildren,
Shawn (Amanda Lanning-Pickering) Pickering, Shane (Samantha Colbridge) McKee,
Kenneth Alan Pickering Sr., Sheyenne (Ashley Thompson) McKee, William Scott
(Ashley) Lantz, Hiedi (Kenton) Caton, and Andrea (Austin Varner) Lantz;
great-grandchildren, Roxy, Shane, Dillon, Sammi, Autumn, Jade, Kenneth Jr.,
Drake, Kellie, Alainnah, Ty, Dominick, Lilly, Emberly, Carson, and Pierce; and
several nieces and nephews.
Kathy was preceded in death by her mother Marie O’Farrell McClellan; father
Charles O’Farrell; brother Paul O’ Farrell; and sister Carolyn Bickley.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at the Brown
Funeral Home, Murray City, Ohio with Rev. Dr. Randy Hardman officiating. Burial
was in Beech Grove Cemetery, Corning, Ohio.
Calling hours were observed Monday, August 27, 2018 from 4-7 pm at the funeral
home.
