Mary Lou Dane, age 83, of Buchtel, Ohio, passed away May 20, 2024, at Hickory Creek, The Plains, Ohio.
Mary was born October 13, 1940, in Orbiston, Ohio to Floyd and Naomi Wade. She was a graduate of Murray City High School; worked at William Brooks Shoe for 36 years; and was a member of Nelsonville Weslyan Church.
Surviving are her sons, Michael Dane of New Plymouth, and Timothy Scott (Barb) Dane of Buchtel.; grandchildren, J.D. (Stephanie) Perry, Brandon Dane, and Alexis (Ethan) Hall; sister, Laraine Wade of Reynoldsburg; brother-in-Law, Keith Dane of Carbon Hill; several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Linda Price of Buchtel.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ted E. Dane; brother, Jerry Wade; sisters, Jean (Muriel) Woodrum, Peggy (Larry) Wadley, Ruth Ann (Bob) McCullough, and Judy Clary; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-laws, Estel and Erma Dane, Phillis and Delbert Smith, and Terry and Joyce Dane.

A graveside service was held on Friday, June 7, 2024, at the Carbon Hill Cemetery at 12:00 pm with Rev. Mike Thomas officiating.
A dinner followed the service at the Wesleyan Church in Nelsonville, Ohio. Everyone is invited to come.
