Maurice Ray Wright, age 82, of Nelsonville, Ohio, passed away June 16, 2024, at his residence.
Ray was born February 3, 1942, in Bidwell, Ohio to Maurice Wright and Dorothy Wright. He loved trucking and dirt track racing.
Surviving are his sons, Mark (Toni) Wright of Nelsonville and Bryan (Barb) Wright of Nelsonville; daughter, Angie (Eddie) Kurtz of Nelsonville; grandchildren, Justin Kurtz and Haley Bowman; step-grandchildren, Alexandria Valkinburg, Chelsie Boch, and Jordan Chorniak; several great-grandchildren; brother, Tom Wright; and sisters, Jean, and Sue.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Donna Wright; and brothers, Steve and Bill Wright.
Arrangements were by the Warren-Brown Funeral Home, Nelsonville, Ohio.
