Ronna Karen Karns, age 76, of Creola, Ohio, passed away July 14, 2024, at the Embassy of Logan in Logan, Ohio.
Ronna was born August 10, 1947, in Creola, Ohio to Charles and Ona Karns. She worked on the Vinton County Board of Elections and was a member of the Vinton County Fair Board. Ronna was also a secretary for the fair board at one time and retired from Licking County Jobs and Family Services after almost 20 years. Ronna enjoyed her family, loved to cook, and liked traveling to Amish Country and to Gospel Sings. She was also a member the Eagles in McArthur and the Cornelius Chapel in Creola.
Surviving are her brother-in-law, William Stafford; nephews, Tim (Allison) Stafford, Tony (Cassandra) Stafford, and Matthew (Elizabeth) Barger; nieces, Kayla (Ryan) Peck and Anna (Russell) Scarberry; cousin, Roger (Reva) McManis; cousins, Gloria and Terry James; many other extended family members she loved dearly; and her dear friend, Donna Stufflebeam.
Ronna was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Ona Karns; brother, Richard A. “Dick” Karns; sister, Carolyn “Sue” Stafford; uncle, Elza Ervin Inboden; and cousin, Diana Lee McManis.
Calling hours were observed from 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. on Wednesday July 17, 2024, at the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home of logan, Ohio.
Funeral services were held at 12:00 Noon, Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, Logan, Ohio with Pastor Jerry Griffith Jr. officiating. Graveside services followed the funeral at 1:45 P.M. at Elks Cemetery, McArthur, Ohio.
A special thank you to her dear friend, Donna Stufflebeam and cousins, Gloria and Terry James, who played a huge part in visiting and taking care of Ronna before and after she went into the nursing home. Ronna appreciated them dearly.
