Donna Mae Thompson, age 92 of Logan, Ohio passed away Friday, July 19, 2024, surrounded by her family. Donna was born December 31, 1931, in Beaumont, Ohio, in Athens County, to the late Samual Floyd Waymer and Ada Mae (Hart) Waymer.
Donna is survived by her husband, John L. Thompson, her children, Paula Holcomb of Logan and Wesley (Ethel) Spencer of Logan, stepson, Thomas (Renaye) Thompson of New Straitsville, Ohio, grandchildren, Jamie (Todd) McAfee, Lee Ann (Vincent) Inboden, Kelly (Rustin) Thomas, and Michael Spencer, along with twelve great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Pauline (Paul) Gilkey, Anna (Charles) Yarber, and infant sister Cora Ellen Waymer, and grandson, Eric Harrison.
Donna was retired from the Anchor Hocking Corporation in Lancaster, Ohio after 26 years.
Donna enjoyed playing cards, games and spending time visiting family and friends. She liked traveling and outdoor activities with her husband and family. Throughout her life, Donna crocheted many beautiful blankets that are treasured by her family.
Funeral services were held Thursday, July 25, 2024, at 1:00 pm at Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home in Logan, Ohio with Pastor Jack Johnson officiating. Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery in Logan, Ohio.
Calling hours were observed Wednesday, July 24 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm, and one hour before the funeral service.
