Teddie L Kollister

Teddie L Kollister, age 84, of Logan, Ohio, passed away October 2, 2024, surrounded by family, at O’Bleness Memorial Hospital, Athens, Ohio.

Teddie was born September 11, 1940, in Chauncey, Ohio to Royden R. Kollister and Mary Ellen Kollister. He was a US Navy veteran; a mechanic all his life; retired from Nation Can of Columbus; and a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #2168, Moose Lodge #873, and AmVets #1776.

Surviving are his children, Sue Ellen Kollister of Logan, Teddy Kollister of Lancaster, Lori (Kollister) Loy of Dalton, GA, and Tony (Diane) Kollister of Logan; grandchildren, Jerry Bowlby, Jennifer Bowlby, Allen Gill, Michael Gill, Mark Kollister, Christopher Kollister, Brittany Wellborn, Lauren Wellborn, Teddy Kollister, Derek Kollister, Destiny Kpllister, Jacob Kollister, and Cheyenne Kollister; 15 great-grandchildren; sister, Brenda Carter of New Plymouth; 13 nieces; 12 nephews; lifetime friend, Sam Jarvis; and special friends, Angie Matson and Nicholas.

Teddie was preceded in death by his parents, Jiggs and Mary Kollister; wife, Betty (Mowery) Kollister; and sister, Judy Kornmiller.

Calling hours will be observed 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 PM on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, Logan, Ohio.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, October 12, 2024, at Fairview Memorial Gardens, Rockbridge, Ohio with Rev. Dr. Randy Hardman officiating. Military Graveside services will be conducted by the Hocking County Honor Guard.
