Linda
Susan Berry, 64, of Carbon Hill, Ohio passed away September 1, 2016 at
Fairfield Medical Center, Lancaster, Ohio.
Linda was born October 3, 1951 in Brooklyn, NY to Quinten B. and Dorothy
McFarland. She was the co-founder of Breast Cancer Survivors Network of
Athens; participant of the Komen Race for the Cure; Relay for Life;
worked closely with Your Sister’s Place; member of the Buchtel United
Methodist Church; and retired after 28 years as a bailiff of the
Municipal Court in Athens.
Surviving are her husband of 24 years, Steve Berry; sons, Dave Keplar of
Canal Winchester, and Chad (Melonie) Berry of
Cleveland; daughter, Julie (Tim) Bookman of Logan; sister-in-law, Leah
Berry of Stoutsville; grandchildren, Christian and Hunter Berry and
their mother, Bobbie Loudner, and Israel, Isaiah and Maya Bookman;
aunts, Catherine Stickler, Rose Bissel, and Nora (Bob) Leonick; uncle,
Harry McFarland; cousin, Barbie Grippy of
Witchita, KS; and special friend, Jill Kirkendall of Buchtel.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents; infant brother, David; and
son-in-law, Bob Graves.
Funeral services were held 1:00 PM Wednesday September 7, 2016 at the
Buchtel United Methodist Church in Buchtel, Ohio with Rev. Dave
Shoemaker officiating. Burial was in Carbon Hill Cemetery, Carbon Hill,
Ohio
Calling hours were observed Tuesday from 4-8 PM at Warren-Brown Funeral
Home.
