Thomas W. Kale was born on February 17, 1958, in Chicago Heights, Illinois. He died at his home in Glouster, Ohio and was found deceased on January 9, 2025. Tom was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Kosky, who passed in 2020. His parents were John Kale & Mary Ann VerWey Kale. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Peter Kale and Timothy Kale; and sister, Kathy Muncy.
He is survived by his brothers and sisters, John Kale (Debbie) of Grove City, Ohio, David Kale (Crystal) of Columbus, Ohio, Dennis Kale (Paula) of Laurelville, Barbara Curtis (Wayne) of Rockwood Tennessee, and Carol Gee (George) of Glouster, Ohio.
Tom is also survived by his closest friend and confidant, Wade Ward of Columbus, Ohio. Tom also worked many years in Columbus for Don Casey, and he treasured that friendship immensely. His wife’s family, that lives in Wisconsin, were like a second family to him, and he loved them all. Tom is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Tom had several health issues, but he kept going, he was always on his computers looking to see what he might buy next from Marketplace, that was his go to shopping area. He tried to stay busy doing things outdoors, when the weather permitted. He loved the water, and he liked to travel but didn’t do much of either in the last few years. He would help you in any way he could, if you asked. He would be there. That was Tom. He will be missed.
Tom didn’t want any fanfare, if and when he passed away. He always told everyone he didn’t want a service, and he wanted cremated, so, we are following his wishes.
At a later date, we will have a memorial service for friends and family at Carol’s home in Glouster. We will let everyone know when, but it won’t be until early spring, when we have better weather.
Since there won’t be any service, and if you feel the need, in lieu of flowers, donate to a charity of your choice, or help somebody who is a little less fortunate and needs some extra help. Thank you.
Arrangements are by Brown Funeral Home, Murray City, Ohio.
