John D. Porter, 76 of Logan, Ohio passed away Sunday January 12, 2025, after a courageous battle of cancer.

 He was born to the late Pat and Essie Porter. He was also preceded in death by his sister and stepson.

John leaves to cherish his memory, his loving and dedicated wife, Elizabeth Porter; children, Malia (Jeremey) Porter, Ebony (Ray) Coleman, Eric (Becky) Porter, India, Hannah, and Stephen; grandchildren, Kayla, Tasha, Brayden, Carter Jay’eon, Skye and Melody; brother, Sandy Porter; and special friends, Mike Neville and Eugene Cherry.

He graduated from East High School; served in Vietnam; later retired from ODOT; and owned many businesses over the years. Before he was sick, you could find him in his workshop, at any given hour.

There will be no calling hours or funeral; there will be a memorial service, at a later date.
