William Coakley, 74, Logan, died Sunday, Feb. 2, 2025, at his home with family by his side.

Born Oct. 30, 1950, Bill was raised by his grandparents, Dorothy and Luther “Jud” Skiver in Haydenville.

Bill loved spending time with family; working on everything; but his favorite thing was taking his grandson, Jud, racing.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Patricia Coakley; three children, William Coakley, Scott Coakley and Amber Osmun; seven grandchildren, Christofer Coakley, Judson Coakley, Blake Foster, Dalton Foster, Annmary Foster, Blake Russ, and Madie Coakley; great-grandchildren, Jason Coakley, Lucas Coakley, Oliver Coakley, Greyson Coakley and Lennie Coakley; and brother, Ray (Phyllis) Wagner.

Bill was preceded in death by his grandmother, Dorothy Skiver; grandfather, Luther Skiver; mother, Jeannine Wagner; brothers, John Coakley and Pete Wagner; and sister, Sandy Fisher.

At Bill’s request, there will be no services; however, there will be a celebration of life at a later date.

Arrangements are by the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home of Logan, Ohio.
