Mary
Lucille (Cutright) Corrigan, formerly of Nelsonville and Athens, passed
away peacefully on April 9, 2017 in The Villages, Florida.
Mary was born in Chillicothe to Erk D. and Sibyl Osie (Bethel) Cutright
on November 24, 1928. She graduated from Unioto High School in
Chillicothe, Ohio.
Mary survived the Great Depression; overcame tuberculosis as a young
mother; and struggled with rheumatoid arthritis for over 30 years. She
retired from Ohio University. Mary was an avid music lover; she played
the organ and led the church choir at First Presbyterian Church of
Nelsonville. She participated in Sweet Adelines, and Hyperion Club; and
was an enthusiastic quilter and gardener.
Mary is preceded in death by her mother, father, and brother, Wayne
Cutright.
Mary is survived by her loving children, Jerri (Rick) Shearer, Larry
Corrigan, and Peggy (Fred) Harrop; sister, Ruth Rice; eight
grandchildren, Tim (Karen) Bean, Candy Shearer, Rick (Cassie) Shearer,
Jr., Eric (Erica) Shearer, Cory (Danne) Corrigan, Dave (Jenny) Corrigan,
and Chris and Nick Corrigan; 17 great-grandchildren; and one
great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held at 12 p.m. on Monday, April 17, 2017 at
Warren-Brown Funeral Home, Nelsonville, with Peter Galbraith of the
First Presbyterian Church of Nelsonville, officiating. Burial followed
at Londonderry Cemetery.
Visitation was at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 17, 2017 at the funeral home.

The Lindley Inn in Athens, Ohio.
