Sherman “Little Bud” Cunningham Jr., age 60, of Nelsonville, Ohio, passed away May 13, 2019 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, Ohio.
Sherman was born April 15, 1959 in Athens County, Ohio to Sherman Cunningham Sr. and Wanda (Perry) Cunningham. He loved to fish, play cards, and work on cars.
Surviving are his wife Teresa Cunningham of Nelsonville; dad, Clarence “Big Bud” Cunningham; children, Brandy Whaley of Hillsboro, Ohio, April Lindsey of Lyman, SC, Tia (Bryan) Swinford of Lancaster, Ohio, Lowell (Fancy) Humphrey of Lancaster, Ohio, Travis Cunningham of Parkersburg, WV, Susan Well of Belpre, Ohio, and Samantha Rohr of Logan, Ohio; 17 grandchildren; great-granddaughter Reagan James; brothers, Lee (Alice) Bartlett of The Plains, Ohio, Chris (Bill) Ray of Greens Run, Ohio, Curt (Lisa) Bartlett of Doanville, Ohio, and Clay (Debra) Cunningham of Murray City, Ohio; sister Kim (James) Stump of Glouster, Ohio; several nieces and nephews; brother-in-law Edward Mitchell; sister-in-law Christy Cunningham; mother-in-law Nancy Griffin; and special companion Buck (Lolla) Cunningham of Nelsonville.
Sherman was preceded in death by his parents; son James Robert Cunningham; brother Scott Cunningham; sister Jean Mitchell; grandparents; and father-in-law Roy Griffin.
Funeral services were held at 7:00 P.M., Saturday, May 18, 2019 at the Warren-Brown Funeral Home, Nelsonville, Ohio with Pastor Bryan Swinford officiating.
Calling hours were observed from 5:00 P.M. to time of service on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
