Ellen
Davis, 79, of Nelsonville, Ohio passed away December 2, 2016 at Carlin
House, Logan, Ohio.
Ellen was born September 6, 1937 in Arvilla, West Virginia to Archie
Martin “Happy” and Lula Marie Williamson. She was a graduate of Albany
High School; and attended classes at Hocking College; had worked as an
aide at the former Athens State Hospital; and retired, after 18 years,
as a clerk at the Athens City-County Health Dept.
Surviving are her husband, Ralph S. “Chub” Davis of Nelsonville; sons,
Roger Alan Davis of Baltimore, MD, and Donald E. Davis of Nelsonville;
sister, Hester Peck of Albany; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Roy
(Nancy) Davis of Nelsonville; and several nieces and nephews.
Ellen was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Donald Williamson;
sister, Edna Mae “Minnie” Irvin.
Funeral services were held 11:00 am Tuesday December 6, 2016 at the
Warren-Brown Funeral Home, Nelsonville, Ohio with Pastor Bill Hixson
officiating. Burial was in Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville, Ohio.
Calling hours were observed Monday 2-4 and 6-8 pm
and one hour prior to the service at the funeral Home.
