Robert Graves of Canal Winchester, formerly of Somerville, MA, passed away Sunday May 22, 2016, after a long and courageous battle with scleroderma. Bob was born November 26, 1955 in Somerville, MA, son of the late Joseph Graves and Thelma Wren. Bob loved New England, especially his hometown of Somerville, where he was a proud member of the Somerville Auxiliary Police for many years. He was a fan of all things nautical and decorated his dream home in Ohio accordingly. Bob is survived by his husband of 10 years, David Keplar; brother, Steve (Michelle) Graves of Methuen, MA; sister, Linda (Henry) Marcotte of Somerville, MA; mother and father-in-law, Linda and Steve Berry of Carbon Hill; sisters-in-law, Melissa (Carl Schultz) Tedrow of Nelsonville and Julie (Tim) Bookman of Logan; brother-in-law, Chad (Melanie) Berry of Cleveland Heights; nephews, Michael Marcotte, Chris Tedrow, Caden Tedrow, and Israel and Isiah Bookman; and nieces, Emily and Jordyn Graves and Maya Bookman. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Karen Quinn. Funeral services were held Saturday, May 28, 2016 at 1:00 pm at Warren-Brown Funeral Home in Nelsonville, Ohio with Pastor Dave Shoemaker. Burial was in Carbon Hill Cemetery, Carbon Hill, Ohio.
