David Jacobs, 71, of Athens, Ohio passed away September 21, 2015 at his residence. David was born September 13, 1944 in Morgan County, Ohio to John and Mable Jacobs. He worked at the ATCO workshop for many years. Surviving are his brother, George Jacobs; sisters, Roberta and Jane Jacobs; nephew, Wayne Jacobs; longtime friend, James Myers; and his friends at RHDD that took care of him for many years. David was preceded in death by his parents; and infant sister, Rose Jacobs. Funeral services were held 11:00 am Friday, September 25, 2015 at the Warren-Brown Funeral Home, Nelsonville, Ohio with Pastor Adelberd Winegardner officiating. Burial was in Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville, Ohio. Calling hours were observed Friday, September 25, 2015 from 10:00 am to time of service. A special thank you to Appalachian County Hospice.
