Richard
L. “Dick” Kline, 91, of Nelsonville, Ohio passed away February 1, 2017
at The Laurels of Athens, Athens, Ohio.
Richard was born October 15, 1925 in Hocking County, Ohio to John and
Bessie Kline. He was a graduate of Logan High School; WWII Army Veteran,
serving in Japan; member of the Carpenters Union #200 in Columbus; life
member of VFW #3467; and member of the Logan Moose #873.
Surviving are his sons, James (Sheila) Kline of Nelsonville, David
(Lisa) Kline of Nelsonville, and Ronald Kline of Dresden; daughters,
Linda (David) North of Carbon Hill, and Susan (Mike) Spencer of Murray
City; 9 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and sisters, Marge
(Jim) Moore of Logan, and Patty Burdette of Glouster.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lorena Kline;
brothers, Thurman Kline, Merlin Kline, Danny Kline and an infant; and
sisters, Doris Chute and Betty Thomas.
Calling hours were observed Saturday, February 4, 2017, from 2-4 and 6-8
pm at the Warren-Brown Funeral in Nelsonville.
Graveside services, with Rev. Mike Thomas officiating, will be Saturday,
February 18, 2017 at 11 am, in Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville, Ohio,
where Graveside Military services will be conducted by the Combined
Color Guard.
The family wants to extend a special thanks to The Laurels of Athens and
to Appalachian Community Hospice.
