Melvin
Eugene Lewis Jr, 52, of Fly, Ohio, formerly of Nelsonville, passed away
May 31, 2015 at his residence.
Melvin was born May 23, 1963 in Marietta, Ohio to Melvin Eugene “Sonny”
Lewis Sr. and Barbara J. Lewis.
Surviving are his children, Sumer Hatfield, Mariah Hatfield, Chad
Hatfield, Tyler Hatfield, Tyler Biggens, and Dana Monrow; 3 grandsons;
girlfriend, Whitney Pope; mother, Barbara Lewis of The Plains; sisters,
Stephanie Lewis of Cincinnati, Sherry L. Lewis of Sommerset, PA, and
Portia R. Lewis of Covington, KY; brothers, Jerry L. Lewis of
Nelsonville, and Brian S. Lewis of Washington Court House; and many
nieces and nephews.
Melvin was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Lewis Sr., whom
passed away January 7, 2013.
Funeral services were held 1:00 PM Monday June 8, 2015 at the
Warren-Brown Funeral Home Nelsonville, Ohio with Lou Dunnells
officiating. Burial was in Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville, Ohio.
Calling hours were observed Sunday, June 7, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the
funeral home.
