Anne M. Wright, 47, of Athens, Ohio passed away July 25, 2016 at O’Bleness Hospital, Athens, Ohio. Anne was born April 12, 1969 in Nelsonville, Ohio to Pastor Marshall and Nina Ward. She attended the Free Pentecostal Church of Buchtel. Surviving are her mother, Nina Ward; daughter, Laticia D. Wright of Nelsonville; son, Matthew A. Wright of Athens; children that she had custody of, Alixandria and Cory Allen of Murray City; grandchildren, Rylee, Madison, and Ashleigh Conley all of Nelsonville; brothers, Shawn (Mikki) Ward of Junction City and Michael (Tammy) Ward of Glouster; and sister, Janese (Nathan) Lax of Nelsonville. Anne was preceded in death by her father; daughters, Vanessa and Savannah Wright; and sisters, Betty Gambill and Barbara Jean Travis. Funeral services were held 11:00 am Wednesday August 3, 2016 at the Free Pentecostal Church in Buchtel, Ohio with Pastor Michael Ward officiating. Burial was in Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville, Ohio. Calling hours were observed Tuesday 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the church. Arrangements were by Warren-Brown Funeral Home in Nelsonville. Donations can be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
