Donna Jean Wright, 75, of Nelsonville, Ohio passed away January 24, 2017 at O’Bleness Hospital in Athens, Ohio. Donna was born September 14, 1941 in Nelsonville, Ohio to John and Carrie Windle. A graduate of Nelsonville High School; member of VFW post 3467 Ladies Auxiliary; and volunteered her time to take people to their doctors appointments. Surviving are her husband of over 50 years, Ray Wright; children, Bryan Wright of The Plains, Angela (Edward) Kurtz of Nelsonville, and Mark Wright of Nelsonville; grandchildren, Trista McKinney, Justin Kurtz, and Haley Bowman; great-grandchildren, Owen, Abby, Addy, and Kaysen; siblings, Gladys Dixon of Glouster, Penny Hickman of Nelsonville, Barbara Berghausen of Cincinnati, Debbie Johnson of Nelsonville, and Johnny Windle of The Plains; and several nieces and nephews. Donna was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Kay, Gay, Larry, and Mike. Funeral services were held at 4:00 PM Saturday January 28, 2017 at the Warren-Brown Funeral Home, Nelsonville, Ohio with Rev. Ernie Perkins officiating. Calling hours were observed Saturday 2-4pm at the funeral home.
