Anita Fouty, age 79, of Nelsonville, Ohio, passed away January 26, 2020 at her residence.
Anita was born May 3, 1940 in Union Furnace, Ohio to Bill Wood and Louise (Tucker) Wood. She was a graduate of the Union Furnace High School and her family was her life.
Surviving are her children, Debby (Kris) Highbargin, Terry Fouty, and JR (Jenn) Fouty; 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; brothers, Don (Kay) Wood of Athens, Tom (Phyllis) Wood of Sun City Center, Florida, and Jim (Diane) Wood; sister-in-law Linda Wood; and life-long friend Donna Sullivan.
Anita was preceded in death by her parents; and husband Gail H. Fouty, who passed away in 2010; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa & Jeff Miller; brothers, Mike Wood and John Wood; and sister and brother-in-law, Margie & Chuck Garrison.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, January 30, 2020 at the Warren-Brown Funeral Home, Nelsonville, Ohio with Rev. Tim Poling officiating. Burial was in Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville, Ohio.
Calling hours were observed on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. and Thursday, January 30, 2020 from 12:00 Noon to time of service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses, because we are here to help each other home.
