Joseph H. Azbell, 76, of Logan, Ohio passed away May 31, 2018 at his residence, surrounded by his family. Joseph was born July 5, 1941 in Nelsonville, Ohio to William and Auldine Azbell. He retired as a Ranger for the LeVeque Scouts Reservation; initiated into the Order of the Arrow, Vigil Honor; and owned and operated Three Mile Appliance in Logan. Surviving are his daughters, Deena (Bruce) Albietz of Syracuse, Indiana, Susie Beck of Logan, and Julie Dressing of Logan; grandchildren, Christlyn Wolfe, James (Jeanna) Wolfe, Kaylee Dressing, Josh Dressing, Michael Wells, and Megan Wells; great-grandchildren, Cameron Wolfe, Zane Wolfe, and one on the way; and brother, William Azbell of Nelsonville. Joseph was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife of 56 years, Grace Azbell, who passed away October 19, 2016. Funeral services were held at 1:00 pm, Sunday, June 3, 2018 at the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, Logan, Ohio with Pastor James Mathias officiating. Burial was in Beech Grove Cemetery, Glouster, Ohio. Calling hours were observed Saturday, June 2, 2018 from 5-8 pm at the funeral home and Sunday, June 3, 2018 from 12:00 Noon to time of service. In lieu of flowers the family requests “to do a good deed for a neighbor”.
