Donald William Beavers, age 74, of Lancaster, Ohio, passed away at his residence.
Donald was born January 24, 1947 in Lancaster to William Ezra Beavers and Irene Marie Beavers (Monroe). He was a 1965 graduate of Berne Union High School and joined the U.S. Navy, serving in Vietnam. He received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal W/01 Bronze Star, Vietnam Campaign Medal, and Navy Unit Commendation Ribbon. Don later attended Ohio University. Don’s work experience included: Various positions in sales, carpentry, and heating and cooling. He was an accomplished guitar player and enjoyed playing gospel and country music with family and friends.
He is survived by his children, Ann (Shannon) Hattery of New Albany and Hugh (Tracy) Montgomery of Grove City; grandchildren Kathryn, Brooke, Aidan, and Evan; his siblings Patricia Stetzer (Ed Griffith) of Sugar Grove, JoAnn (Bryan) Conery of Pickerington, Joseph (Pamela) Beavers of Hickory, N.C., and Philip (Susan) Beavers of Lancaster, and many nieces and nephews.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents, brother in-law Frank Stetzer, and many aunts and uncles.
The funeral service was held at 1:00 P.M, Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, Logan, Ohio with Pastor Brad Seevers officiating. Burial was at Floral Hills Cemetery, Lancaster, Ohio.
Calling hours were observed on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 from 11:00 A.M. until time of service.
