Fern Dillon, 93, of Lancaster, Ohio, passed away December 8, 2018 at The Pickering House, Lancaster, Ohio. Fern was born February 20, 1925 in Carbon Hill, Ohio to Jesse and Elizabeth Devol. She was a member of the Sugar Grove United Methodist Church. Surviving are daughter Lisa (Douglas) Stafford of Columbus; sons, Steve (Rhonda) Dillon of Columbus, and Craig (Terri) Dillon of Parkersburg, WV; 16 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. Fern was preceded in death by her husband of 73 years, Cornelius (Neal) Dillon, who passed away April 3, 2018; sons, Jeffrey and Vincent; great-grandson Rowan Carpenter; brothers, Gerald Devol, and Russell “Peck” Devol; and sister Irma Guess. Funeral services were held at 11:00am, Friday, December 14, 2018 at the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, Logan, Ohio. Burial was in Ebenezer Baptist Cemetery, Maxville, Ohio. Calling hours were observed Friday, December 14, 2018 from 10:00am – 11:00am at the funeral home.
