Floyd
L. Donaldson Jr., 90, of Logan, Ohio passed away September 5, 2018 at
The Pickering House, Lancaster, Ohio.
Floyd was born March 13, 1928 in Logan, Ohio to Floyd L. and Agnes
Donaldson. He was a Logan High School graduate; served in the US Air
Force during the Korean Conflict; retired from the Iron Workers Union
Local # 172 in Columbus; member of the St. John Catholic Church in
Logan; after retiring, he enjoyed traveling; liked woodworking and
welding in his shop.
Surviving are his wife of 66 years, Bertye Donaldson; son Larry (Cathy)
Donaldson of Logan; grandson Noah E. Donaldson; 5 great-grandchildren,
Aliescia, Curtis, Liam, Collin, and Wyatt Donaldson; brother Charles
Donaldson of Logan; several special nieces and nephews; and several
cousins.
Floyd was preceded in death by his parents; son Terry Francis Donaldson;
brother Jim Donaldson; and sisters-in-law, Barb Donaldson and Greta
Donaldson.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 am, Monday, September 10, 2018 at
the St. John Catholic Church in Logan, Ohio. Burial was in Oak Grove
Cemetery, Logan, Ohio, where Military Graveside services were held by
the Hocking County Honor Guard.
Calling hours were observed Sunday 2-6 pm at the Heinlein-Brown Funeral
Home in Logan. Christian Wake service was held at 5:45 pm Sunday at the
funeral home.
