Delbert Lester McDonald, age 74, of Logan, Ohio, passed away May 20, 2022, at his home.
Delbert was born March 27, 1948, in Murray City, Ohio to Ralph Lester McDonald and Rosella June McDonald. He worked 40 plus years for Elford Inc. in Columbus; was a member of the Laborers Union and the Carpenters Union; loved golf; was an avid hunter, and fisherman; loved his dogs; and enjoyed woodworking and carpentry.
Surviving are his wife of 32 years, Elly McDonald; children, Brian (Sara) McDonald, Quincy (Rick Lutz) Cody, and Gwen (Rob) Hatfield; grandchildren, Nicholas Stepp, Christina Hatfield, Gregory Hatfield, Emaurice McKinney, Bailee McDonald, Wyatt McDonald, and Lilly Atkins; great- grandchildren, Lailynn Hatfield, Ella Hatfield, and Ava Hatfield; siblings, Diane (Bruce) Roberts, Bob (Peggy) McDonald, and Barb (Gene) Smith; and brother-in-law, Greg Bookman.
Delbert was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Sandy Bookman and Judy (Gene) Wolfe.
Funeral services were held at 12:00 Noon, Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at the Brown Funeral Home, Murray City, Ohio with Rev. David Edgell officiating. Burial was in Salem Cemetery.
Calling hours were observed 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM and 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Monday, May 23, 2022, and 11:00 AM – 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at the funeral home.
