Darl Lehman

Darl William Lehman, 83, of Logan, Ohio went peacefully home to be with the Lord on May 7, 2018 at Pickering House, Lancaster, Ohio. Born August 7, 1934 to John W. and Wanda J. Lehman of Carbon Hill, he was married for 63 years to Donna P. Lehman who survives. Darl graduated from Carbon Hill High School in 1953. He was a former employee of Logan Shoe Factory, NATCO, Logan Clay Products, Carborundum and Tri-County Career Center, from which he retired. He was a strong, hard-working man who dearly loved his family and took great pride in his work. He was a member of the Mingo Lodge #171, White Shrine, and Chapter 76 Order of the Eastern Star. He attended Smith Chapel United Methodist Church in Logan. He is also survived by a son, Darl (Judy) Lehman of Malvern, AR; daughters, Brenda (William) Wolfe and Pam (Al) Bookman of Logan; grandchildren, Faith, Dustin, Brianna, Joshua, Sarah, Amber, Ashley, and Amanda; great-grandchildren, Bella, Hannah, Haddan, Luca, Cole, Daylen, Codie, Kaiden, Hunter, Hayden, Austin, Brayden, Hannah, and Ellie; great-great-grandaughter Stella; twin brother, Darrel; brother, Richard “Brother” Lehman; sister, Marjorie “Sis” Lama; and loving dog, Dixie. Besides his parents, Darl was preceded in death by his brothers, Clarence and Jerry Lehman; granddaughter, Rebecca Bookman; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jim & Judy Amnah. A Celebration of Life service was held on Friday, May 11, 2018 at 1:00 pm at the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home Logan, Ohio with Pastor Dave Sherman officiating. Burial followed in Carbon Hill Cemetery. Calling hours were held on Thursday, May 10, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the funeral home. A Masonic Service was held at 7:00 pm on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in his honor to Smith Chapel Food and Clothing Mission 1333 E. Front St. Logan, Ohio or FairHoPe Hospice 282 Sells Rd. Lancaster, Ohio 43130. The family would like to thank the employees of Crestview Rehab, Logan Care & Rehab, Hocking Valley Community Hospital, Fairfield Medical Center, and FaiHoPe Hospice for the loving care he received during his time of need.
