Nelson (Tune) Wesley Howe, 60, passed peacefully in his sleep on May 16, 2023, and took that final bike ride on his Harley to Heaven’s Gate.
Nelson was born February 1, 1963, to William (Wynne) Miles Howe Sr. and Martha Pergrin Howe Grantham. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Nancy Elizabeth Howe, a niece, Lacey Elizabeth Howe and a nephew, Colin William Howe.
He was the baby of the family and is survived by five siblings, Jessica (Robert) Hollenbaugh, William Howe Jr. (Deborah McCall), Philip (Cheri) Howe, Marty (Richard) Gail, Paula (Allan) Fate and his beloved cat, Pebbles, as well as 11 nieces and nephews and 15 great nieces and nephews.
Nelson was a 1981 graduate of Nelsonville-York High School. He had a heart of gold, and those who knew him felt that. He had a love for cats and fed the strays on the square nightly until he was no longer able to, due to his illness.
Per Nelson’s wishes he will be cremated.
Calling hours were held on May 24, 2023, 11 am – 1 pm with services following at 1 pm at Warren-Brown Funeral Home in Nelsonville, Ohio with Rev. Dr. Randy Hardman officiating. Graveside services followed at Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville, Ohio.
