Heather Renee Smith, age 42, of Nelsonville, Ohio, passed away June 18, 2023, in Nelsonville, Ohio.
Heather was born October 10, 1980, in Athens, Ohio to Ronald Smith and Jennifer Theisen Smith. She graduated in 1999 from Nelsonville-York High School; attended Hocking College; worked as an STNA in home health care and nursing homes; she loved the Lord; enjoyed reading the Bible; and loved flowers, gardening, traveling, and helping others.
Surviving are her son, Christian (Madison Poore) Smith of Nelsonville; mother, Jennifer Theisen Smith of Nelsonville; father, Ronald (Diana) Smith of Coolville; brother, Ronnie Smith of Nelsonville; stepsister, Erica Eing; half-sister, Mica Knox; grandparents, Bill & Jane Theisen of Nelsonville, Dow & Dea Smith of Nelsonville, and Sonja Smith of Nelsonville; aunts and uncles, Brenda Daniluk, Frank Theisen, Randy (Cindy) Theisen, Susie McKibben, and Louis (Becky) Smith; cousins, Tina Huber, Jeremy & Roberta Smith, Jakob Koprivec, Jordan (Alexis) Theisen, Jared (Tanya) Theisen, Sheena Freer, Sierra Freer, and Carissa Freer; and her favorite dog, Emmitt.
Heather was preceded in death by grandmother, Shirley Gibeaut; fiancé, Phil Conkey; cousin, Sherry Smith; aunt, Lori Smith; and several friends and classmates.
Funeral services were held at 1 P.M., Saturday June 24, 2023, at the Warren-Brown Funeral Home, Nelsonville, Ohio.
Calling hours were observed 11 am – 1 pm, Saturday at the funeral home.
