Anthony “Tony” Lee DeLong, Age 52, of Lancaster, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at Mount Carmel East Hospital, with family by his side.
Tony was born on November 17, 1970, in Nelsonville, Ohio. He was the son of the late Philip and Barbara (Jones) DeLong.
Survived by his sister, Debra (Timothy) Bookman; brothers, Philip (Sandie) DeLong and Stephen (Loreen) DeLong; nieces and nephews, Timothy (Julie) Bookman, David Bookman, Tiffani Travis, Melissa (Glenn) Burchfield, Grace DeLong, and Heather (Paul) Zimmerman; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and his special fur babies.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his nephew, Philip Michael DeLong.
He worked at Anchor-Hocking in Lancaster, Ohio. He was an avid fisherman and loved his fur babies. He chose to give the gift of life to others by making the decision to become an organ donor.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, 204 West Main Street Logan, Ohio with Reverend Dr. Randy Hardman officiating. Burial was in Knollwood Cemetery in Logan, Ohio.
Visitation was 1 hour prior to the service.
