Anna L. Bateman, age 86, of Logan, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family, on September 27, 2023.
Anna was born August 10, 1937, in Logan, Ohio to Harley Jones and Ruth Jones. She was a 1955 graduate of Logan High School; a teachers’ aide for the Logan-Hocking School District; and a member of the VFW Auxiliary and the Moose Auxiliary.
Surviving are her husband, Leland W. Bateman; son, Mike (Jeff Leonard) Bateman of Columbus, OH; daughter, Cindy (Mike) Scaparrotti of Topsail Beach, NC; grandchildren, Mike (Laura) Scaparrotti and Stephanie (Luke) High; great-grandchildren, Ava, Ben, and Jake High; brothers, Sidney (Gladys) Jones of Lancaster, OH, Roger (Rita) Jones of Rockbridge, OH, and Tim (Gloria) Jones of Rockbridge, OH; sisters, Bonnie White of Logan, OH and Connie (Rob) Tripp of Logan, OH.
Anna was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law, Jim White.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at the Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, Logan, Ohio with Rev. Dr. Randy Hardman officiating. Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery, Logan, Ohio.
Calling hours were observed 5 – 8 P.M. on Monday, October 2, 2023, and on Tuesday from 12n till time of the service at the funeral home.
