Roger A. Canter 52, of Murray City, Ohio
passed away March 4, 2017 at his residence.
Roger was born January 18, 1965 in Athens County, Ohio to Delbert and Joan
Canter. He was a 1983 graduate of Tri County High School. He loved his trips to
the Outerbanks; and was very loving to his wife, children, and
grandchildren.
Surviving are his wife, Louise Canter of Murray City; sons, Roger II (Kayla)
Canter of Murray City, Eric (Natasha) Canter of Nelsonville, and Samuel Wilson
of Murray City; daughter, Sara Wilson of Columbus; grandchildren, Paige Canter,
Zoey Canter, Athena Canter, Alix Allen,Cory Allen, Kyra Canter, Annika Canter,
and one due in September; brothers, Raymond (Janet) Canter of Newark, John
(Michelle) Canter of Murray City, David (Sharon) Canter of Millfield, and
Delbert E. (Linda) Canter of Murray City; sisters, Carol Ann (Tommy) Wood of
Newark and Jo Ann (Mike) Sanborn of Newark; and several nieces and
nephews.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Lillian Snyder;
father-in-law and mother-in-law, John “Jack” and Janet
“Dee” Huston; and sister-in-law, Brenda Canter.
Funeral services were held 11:00 am Thursday, March 9, 2017 at the Brown
Funeral Home Murray City, Ohio with Rev. Ernie Perkins officiating. Burial was
in Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville, Ohio.
Calling hours were observed Wednesday, March 8, 2017 from 2 to 6 pm.
